Mathis' 6d essentials

Mathis Margirier relies on 6d to deliver top performances. His favorite is the 6d Ultra Drink, a carbohydrate-rich sports drink that provides plenty of energy, essential for a professional triathlete with a high training volume. In situations where drinking is less practical, such as during intense running sessions, Mathis uses the Ultra Gel. When he craves something different on the bike, he opts for the Sports Chew, convenient due to its compact size and nice bite. When asked what he would like to add to the range, he replies: "An Ultra Drink Peach! Like the Gel!"

His favorite training

“There isn’t really a typical training plan. It varies depending on the sport and the type of training, such as endurance, intensity, or strength. The common thread in every session is, of course, to fuel yourself properly so you can remain consistent day after day without accumulating too much fatigue.”

His carbohydrate intake during short, easy training sessions is usually around 50g per hour, while during intense sessions and races it can rise to 120–130g per hour. This exceptionally high intake is certainly at the limits of what is feasible; as a professional triathlete, Mathis consciously searches for his boundary and then pushes them a little further.
