Mix 15g (= 3 scoops) powder with ≥200ml of water or a beverage of your choice.

Always consume 30-60 minutes before a short training session (<10 minutes) in which tendons, ligaments, bones and/or cartilage are specifically trained or "targeted". Where possible, this short training session should be performed either 6 hours before or after any other training.

Use 1-3 servings daily, depending on the number of training sessions.

Musculoskeletal injuries, such as injuries to skeletal muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and cartilage, are the most common injuries seen in both recreational and elite athletes, and certainly in 'contact sports' such as football.

What is characteristic for these musculoskeletal tissues is the fact that they are largely composed of collagen. Collagen is a structural protein that plays an important role in the firmness and elasticity of these tissues. When these tissues get damaged, whether or not due to "overloading", or through hard contacts, the body needs certain specific amino acids to restore and strengthen the collagen within these tissues. Especially the amino acids proline, L-hydroxyproline and glycine are important for the production of collagen. These amino acids are highly present in gelatin.

Recent research, in which tendons have been specifically targeted/loaded, has shown that ingestion of 15 g of gelatin in combination with 50 mg of vitamin C stimulates collagen synthesis in tendons twice as much compared to no gelatin intake. Moreover, it has already been shown that short training sessions (<10 minutes), in which tendons and/or bones are specifically trained or targeted, maximally stimulate collagen synthesis when these sessions are separated by 6 hours of rest. Interestingly, if gelatin is ingested one hour before these exercise sessions collagen synthesis can even be further improved due to peak availability of the building blocks for collagen synthesis at the time of the training session.

One serving of the 6d COLLAGEN PEPTAN provides 15g of pure collagen type 1 peptides (PEPTAN®) with 50 mg of vitamin C. Collagen peptides, also known as collagen hydrolysate, are formed by an enzymatic reaction in which the proteins in the gelatin are cut into smaller pieces. As a result, collagen hydrolysate has a much better solubility than gelatin, especially in cold beverages. Due to its excellent solubility and neutral taste, the 6d COLLAGEN PEPTIDES can be added to either a cold or a hot beverage of your choice.
